A municipal postcard with the slogan “Be Sustainable: DON’T BUY SEX!” Now get angry prostitutes to give a free game to climate guests.
“Dear hoteliers, we would urge you not to provide contact between the hotel clients and prostitutes.”
This is the announcement from The Mayor of Copenhagen, Mrs. Ritt Bjerregaard, to 160 hotels in Copenhagen for the climate summit. The statement arouses anger among sex workers therefore a group of them have agreed to accept the communal cards as a gift certificate for a free game of sex. “It is simply discriminatory. Ritt Bjerregaard is abusing her office, where she uses her power to prevent us from carrying out our legal work. I do not understand how it can be possible that she can sign off on the way”, says the spokeswoman of the prostitute, Suzanne Miller to the Danish newspaper: avisen.dk.
“It is reprehensible and arbitrary that the Copenhagen politicians have chosen to use climate summit as a platform for a smear campaign against sex workers. But now they have it done, and then we have to defend ourselves.” The offer of free sex for this card is valid only during the summit. To take advantage of the offer, any customers must show ID cards issued by COP15.
